Thunder Boy Jr. author Sherman Alexie is a celebrated author, poet, and performer. He has won numerous awards including the National Book Award for Young People’s Literature. He has written many other books, including The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian. Sherman is a Spokane/Coeur d’Alene Indian and  grew up in Wellpinit, Washington on the Spokane Indian Reservation. He now lives with his family in Seattle, Washington.
